As a Dock Owner, how do I maximize my rental potential?

  • Provide accurate information about your available dock.

  • Set the daily rate by taking into consideration other docks in your area with similar features.

  • Consider offering all term lengths (hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly) to maximize your available pool of boaters.

  • Be a responsive Dock Owner to rental request and chat notifications.

  • Be a gracious host and provide tips, local and business that are boat friendly. Give them helpful tips for boating within your community.

As a Dock Renter, how do I maximize my reviews and acceptance of booking requests?

  • Provide accurate information on your Take My Boat Account.

  • Be Respectful and responsible of the property and amenities provided at the dock rentals and leave it the way you found it for the Dock Owner.

  • Ensure the payment method tied to your Stripe Account is active and ready for payment once your request to book.

  • Be responsive Dock Renter to questions the Dock Owner may have via the chat functionality of your rental request and on the TMBO application.

As a Dock Renter, when can I expect to be charged?

  • TMBO processes the credit card you input on the rental booking request once the Dock Owner approves the rental request.

  • If you have a rental that exceeds thirty days, we have two payment options up-front payment for the full total or monthly installment payments that allow Stripe to automatically process your credit card each month of the rental.

What are the available rental lengths via the application?

  • The minimum rental increments are 15 minutes available as an option to the Owner on their Listings.

  • The maximum rental increment is yearly available as an option to the Owner on their Listings.

  • TMBO allows the Owner the flexibility to select what rental lengths they will accept during the Dock Listing process.

  • Renters will only be allowed to rent for the rental lengths that the Owner has selected for the specific Listing.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations must be made on the TMBO application 72-hours before your agreed upon rental date and time.

  • Cancellations are not allowed on all rentals made equal to or less than 72-hours of the dock rental.

What is your refund policy?

  • Any cancellation made before 72-hours within the TMBO application will be issued a full refund.

Host and Renter Insurance

  • As a marketing place, it is up to the Dock Owner and the Dock Renter to ensure they have the right insurance that covers liability for use of a dock rental and while operating a boat.

  • TMBO recommends that you contact your insurance policy holder to review your available coverage per your policy and that it covers your potential dock listing with amenities offered and as a boat owner that you are covered if there is an accident while docking your boat.

  • Both the Dock Owner and the Dock Renter can request a Declaration of Insurance at time of rental and licenses to verify.

Why do you require me to link my Stripe account?

  • Stripe is our payment processor, and a linked account is required to make payments to and from the Renter and Owners.

  • TMBO doesn't keep any financial data as Stripe is our 3rd Party provider.

How does Take My Boat Out determine the dock rental full price?

  • Dock Owners provide the Listing Rates for their docks based for daily, monthly and yearly and determine what rental term lengths they want to accept.

  • TMBO charges a percentage of the Listing Rate as a Service Fee to continue providing innovation and enhancement to the applications and boating community.

  • Transactions Fees are applied to that final total to account for credit card and other 3rd party transactional fees applied to the payment.

As a Renter, when do I get the physical address of the Dock Listing for my approved rental?

  • TMBO releases the Dock Listing physical address 7 days prior to the rental start date.

  • If the rental is within the 7-day window, TMBO's application will release the physical address once the rental request is approved by the Owner.

As a Dock Owner, how fast to I get paid if I rent my dock?

  • TMBO makes every reasonable effort to release payment to the Dock Owner 24 hours after the rental start date.

  • The initial Stripe payout could take up to 7-14 business days as Stripe verifies your account information as part of their risk mitigation process.

  • After the initial payment Stripe requires a 3-business day to release payment

If I have an issue with a dock rental, how do I reach out to support at TMBO?

  • A Renter has up to 12 hours to contact TMBO support via the application to submit a support case.

  • As the Renter you may be asked to provide a detailed description and photos of the dock discrepancy or issue.

  • TMBO will review and work with the Owner to reconcile and potentially offer a reasonable discount due to the Listings discrepancy and/or will work to find you the Renter to find an alternative docking solution within the area if available.

  • TMBO reserves the right at our sole desecration to review Listings and remove them from the Service and will use support inquiries and reviews where multiple complaints have been made.
